Mr Eldridge is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Avon Orthopaedic Centre. He was educated at the University of Bristol and during the course of his orthopaedic training as a university lecturer and specialist registrar in Bristol, he gained extensive experience in general orthopaedics.
Mr Eldridge has a special interest in lower limb surgery, and following a clinical fellowship at the North Sydney Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre and a European Travelling Fellowship, he has continued to develop expertise in specialist surgery of the knee and hip. Mr Eldridge's clinical practice covers arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction and cartilage grafting in addition to computer guided joint replacement, hip resurfacing and partial knee replacement.
He is pioneering a new surgical treatment for preventing kneecap dislocation, teaches on the European Patellofemoral Replacement course and runs the annual Bristol Knee Surgery Meeting.
